Wearables Starter Pack

The Wearables Starter Pack includes a unique 3D Mannequin model and the wearables Layering Guides. It also includes a fashion kit and some software specific tools.

Mannequin and Layering Guides​

This is a single .fbx file that can be imported in the majority of the 3D modeling software.

To best ensure that your wearables will work across the Genies ecosystem, test your 3D creation fit using the provided mannequin model and check that the wearable conforms with the layering guides.

The Mannequin​

Mannequin

Genies Mannequin is a gender neutral 3D model of our avatars. It is designed to represent the average body shape and volume between extreme male and female body types. Designing a digital wearable using this mannequin helps our system to automatically re-fit any wearable models to any avatar body type.

Please make sure that your final digital wearable model fits the mannequin as if the mannequin is wearing it.

Please make sure the mannequin model is not part of your .fbx wearable submission.

Layering Guides​

Layering Guides

Genies Layering Guides is a system of shapes that are created to guide the artists during the wearables design and creation processes. By using the layering guides, you can ensure your wearables do not intersect with other wearables a Genies Avatar may also equip.
